Bot John's Staff Application

Bot John

New member
1. What is your Steam Name & SteamID?: Bot John notfound.tech | STEAM_0:0:857766744
2. Do you have a Microphone?: Yes
3. What are your availability times ( Weekdays/Weekends & Timezone )?: Weekdays 3pm GMT - 2am | weekends all times.
4. Do you have any experience staffing & are you experienced with using ULX or SAM?: Yes, I have managed multiple DarkRP servers and was a moderator on ZarpGaming TTT for 8 months.
5. Why did you choose to apply for NotFound.Tech Servers?: I am choosing to apply ( albeit early into my notfound career ) as I believe becoming a staff member is the best course of action when trying to fit into a new server and learn its community. I have loved notfound since I started playing a few months ago and have enjoyed the playerbase mostly. I feel that by becoming a staff member I would be able to monitor times when staff cannot get on due to timezones, ontop of providing an unbiased perspective to reports.
6. Do you have the ability to record for proof/evidence?: Yes.
7. What are your current in-game hours on the server you are applying for?: 30 hours
8. Why do you think we should choose you over others to join the staff team?: I believe I should be chosen over others regardless of my time played for a variety of reasons.

Experience: I have extensive experience not only using ULX, SAM and logs, but with the in and outs of TTT itself. This will allow me to handle reports in a prompt, fair manner that leaves both sides feeling vindicated. I am a natural born mediator and love finding middle ground in other peoples arguments. I believe this experience that I have obtained from real life scenarios surpasses the current expectations of staff members on the server and are characteristics that are valuable to a teamworking environment. Due to this I believe I stand out as a candidate.

Availability: Due to being a UK player, I am commonly online during downtime periods where the majority of staff are working or still sleeping. Ensuring that a server is constantly moderated prevents situations occurring where a group is able to break rules together for hours which is offputting for new players who join and see it. In addition, I am able to devote a lot of time to the server which will allow me to produce a bigger workload than staff who have multiple outside commitments.

9. If you get accepted and when you are a high enough rank do you plan on becoming Network Staff?: Potentially if given the opportunity after time yes.
10. How old are you?: 20
11. Are you bilingual if so what languages can you speak?: N/A

General Scenarios:

1. If someone was chat-spamming what would you do?: I would verbally request that they do not continue, following this if the player continues spamming I would issue a 2 minute MoTD. If after 2 minutes the player continued to spam I would issue a mute and warning.

2. If someone was having an argument that started getting out of control in chat what would you do?: I would begin by asking them politely to take it to DMs so that others do not have to see it. Depending on language used I would issue punishments accordingly (Slurs, Suicide Endorsement, Accusations) If they continued after my verbal warning, I would mute both players for the same amount of time and warn them that continuing when the mute expires will lead to a worse punishment.

3. If another staff member was abusing their rank what would you do?: I would gather evidence, ensuring I have enough to prove that abuse was taking place. Following this I would make a management report and explain the scenario in full to my best ability while submitting all the evidence I had gathered and testifying against them. I would likely contact management as I am still gathering evidence though so they are aware that its ongoing.

BaseWars Scenarios:

1. If you noticed a player in the distance prop spamming what would you do?: N/A
2. If someone has entities outside of their base what would you do?: N/A

TTT Scenarios:

1. If you receive evidence of someone Out of Game Trading, how would you handle it?: Similarly to staff abuse, I would gather all evidence any players may have until I know it is provable beyond a reasonable doubt. Following this I would contact management and provide them with the information on the player (SteamID, Proof of OOGT attempt)

2. How would you handle a report caused by someone T-Baiting?: I would first check F8 logs to verify that the player was infact t-baiting. If they were, I would issue the punishment associated with such using the staff handbook for reference. Before I issue the punishment however, I would view their past offences to ensure they haven't received warnings for T-Baiting already, and if they have I would issue the necessary punishment.

3. How would you handle a report caused by a False KOS?: I would first ask the player who sent the KOS why they did so, as sometimes KOSes come out on the incorrect player by mistake. If they admit it was an accident, I would inform the player who was killed due to it and say theres nothing I can do other than verbally ask him to be more careful. If the player admitted that it was intentional and he knows the player did nothing wrong I would punish them for RDM. If it was found out the KOS was intentional but due to something they thought happened that didnt, I would slay them for accidental rdm.

4. If a player is intentionally delaying what do you do?: I would spectate the player and ensure they are delaying intentionally / are not reasonably attempting to pursue kills. If this is the case, I would use staff chat to post a Delay = Slay warning. Following 15 seconds, if the player is still not reasonably attempting to pursue a kill either by travelling towards an innocent or killing visible ones, I would slay the player. If over time it became a pattern of the same player delaying intentionally, I would contact higher-ups and ask if a more serious punishment is necessary.

5. How would you handle a Ghosting Report?: I would attempt to get evidence of the ghosting to ensure it wasn't just general RDM. Following this I would contact both parties believed to be involved in ghosting and ask why they killed that player. If I am not definitively able to prove ghosting I will punish the player for RDM as they couldnt have possibly known that the other was a traitor.

Discord Scenarios:

1. How would you handle a situation where a person is posting NSFW in the Discord Server?: N/A
2. How would you handle a situation where a person is trying to bring Drama in from other Servers?: N/A
3. How would you handle a situation where a player was trying to advertise on the Discord Server?: N/A
4. How would you handle a situation where a player is posting bot commands outside of the bot commands channel?: N/A
