Why were you banned?
For not stopping an argument when I was told to
Why do you think your appeal should be accepted?
A variety of reasons that I’ll list here in bullet points for handiness to read.

I have seen plenty of people argue with Jerome before in chat and I mean PLENTY of people, yet I have never seen someone outright community banned over an argument. Surely a time-out/mute would’ve sufficed?

I understand that I should have stopped, but the point I was trying to make is a serious one. I have seen staff on the server break rules plenty of times, and actual action or in-game punishments never take place. An example of this is in my closed mute appeal, where Jerome had explained that when staff say they want to “kill themselves” they get “told off sternly.” Yet when I killed someone who was ruining the server for everyone, that is no longer even allowed on the server because they were hacking, I got a ban? I’m not arguing about it anymore, and I’ll accept my in-game ban, but at this point I just want to bring to light that this is an issue that other players (who I won’t name for their sakes) have noticed and talked about before too. If you don’t treat staff and players the same, it creates an unfair dynamic that leads to abuse, bias or worse. In addition, punishments should not be dealt every single time based on the exact word for word rule, this can be used against people by cherry-picking little things they do until you find one that “technically” breaks a rule. There should be some excuses deemed good enough for a rule to not apply, and there are far better ways to go about things than just constantly banning people for things that do not actually affect/even benefit the REAL community in any way.

A user (who I will not name) sent me a screenshot after from Rocker, saying “Was it harsh? Yes, Though I did it because I did not think they were a good fit for the community”
No offense, but shouldn’t that be something up to the community itself to decide? In my time on the server I’ve made friends with almost every player I’ve talked to, I don’t have a problem with anyone and I’ve even actively tried to help people learn techniques they didn’t know, secrets in maps, new players in general that don’t understand the game and people having technical issues with joining the server (which I can provide proof of)
The point I am trying to get across with saying that is, that was my first ever time talking to you Rocker, there is no way you could have knew anything about how I was as a person at that point as all you had seen were a few messages. I think generally a lot of the players in the server that actually do know me from having played with me and received help from me would say the opposite, that I am not a bad fit for the community. And personally, I think the community’s opinion matters most, because there would be no notfound.tech without us all.
If I were given the opportunity to come back to the discord, I wouldn’t argue anymore but I still hope that the things I mentioned in this post are looked at / taken into consideration
I hope this post doesn’t come off as argumentative, and more so an explanation. I also mean no disrespect to you yourself Rocker, as I also don’t know you since that was the first conversation we ever had and it lasted 5 minutes.
