2. As of the 11th edition of The World Health Organization's International Classification of Diseases, Gender incongruence has been moved out of the "Mental and behavioural disorders" chapter and into the new "Conditions related to sexual health" chapter. Therefore it is no longer a condition of mental ill-health. I know in the U.S the DSM-5 is the principal authority for psychiatric diagnoses and conflicts with ICD-11 on this, to each their own.
3. I agree that this was not Hate Speech. It was an unwarranted opinion and while may seem hurtful, is more misguided and ignorant than anything hateful. It should have been staff's job to steer the conversation away from the topic at hand and keep users in line before it spiraled.
In the end, I will be Accepting this Appeal. I strongly encourage you to not delve back into topics like these or continue to share the opinions or rhetoric you expressed as it may eventually fall into "Extreme Toxicity"
